Candidate Terms

For people, not companies. If you practise on yourself, hold a candidate account, or buy interview credits for your own use, this is your agreement with us. The two sections that matter most: the feedback is a machine's practice feedback and not a decision about you, and nothing you practise is shared with any employer.
Who these terms are for
These terms are between you, an individual, and Kandevo Limited. They apply when you use Practice Mode, the daily challenge, or a candidate account, and when you buy interview credits for your own use.
Kandevo Limited is a company registered in England and Wales, number 17427689, with its registered office at C/O GP Fund Solutions UK Limited, Mocatta House, Trafalgar Place, Brighton, BN1 4DU. You can write to us there or at privacy@kandevo.ai.
They do not apply to companies. A company that uses Kandevo AI to interview people accepts the Terms of Service instead, and if a company has invited you to an interview or a screening exercise, that is the company's process: the notice on the exercise page and the company's own privacy notice tell you what happens to what you write there, and these terms do not govern the company's decision.
These terms were written by us and have not yet been reviewed by a solicitor. We say so rather than imply otherwise. Nothing in them takes away a right that consumer law gives you.
What Practice Mode is, and what it is not
Practice Mode runs a short interview exercise against an AI: a conversation with a stakeholder, an urgent inbox to answer, or a written question. Afterwards the AI produces a score, observations that quote what you wrote, and, depending on the read you chose, a breakdown by dimension, coaching tips and a worked answer.
That feedback is practice feedback from a machine. It is not a hiring decision, not a prediction of how any real interview will go, and not advice about any particular job. The AI can misread what you meant, miss something that mattered, or be confidently wrong. Use it as a rehearsal partner, not as an authority.
Nothing you practise here is shared with any employer. A practice interview is yours. It is not connected to any interview a company invites you to, and no company can see it.
One exercise is different by design: where an employer's interview includes a task called Working with AI, you are given an assistant on purpose and marked on how you direct it. Everywhere else, using an AI to write your answers for you defeats the point of practising and, in a real interview, may be flagged to the interviewer.
Using it without an account
You can run a practice round and play the daily challenge without creating an account. In that case we store nothing about you: the round exists on your screen and is gone when you close it.
If you post a daily-challenge score to the public board, the two or three letters you choose and your score are shown to everyone for that day. Do not use letters that identify you if you would rather they did not.
Free use has rate limits and a shared daily ceiling, because every round costs us a model call. When the ceiling is reached the page says so and asks you to come back later; that is not a fault.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to create a candidate account or buy credits. One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you can confirm your email address and turn on two-factor sign-in from your dashboard, and we recommend both.
You are responsible for what you type. Do not paste other people's personal data, or confidential material belonging to an employer, into a practice round. Do not try to extract hidden material, work around limits, or use the service in a way that harms it or other people. We may suspend an account for that, and will say why.
Credits and prices
When you create an account you receive 3 free interviews, one at each depth (1 Practice, 1 Full read, 1 Coach), so you can read all three before you buy anything.
After that, credits are bought in bundles. One credit runs one round. Prices below are before VAT; VAT is added at checkout where it applies, and the checkout shows the total before you pay.
Credits do not expire and nothing renews. When a round starts, the best credit you hold is spent: credits you bought are used before free ones, best read first; free interviews go the other way, cheapest read first. If the round fails to start, the credit is returned. A paid round must be completed within 4 hours of starting; after that its paid depth lapses and the result is read at the basic depth.

Changing your mind, and refunds
You have 14 days from a purchase to change your mind about credits you have not used. Write to us and we refund them in full to the card you paid with. Because credits are a digital service delivered immediately, by starting an interview you ask us to provide it straight away, and a credit that has been spent on a round is not refundable.
If a round fails through our fault, the credit comes back automatically. If it fails and does not come back, tell us and we will put it right.
Refunds are handled by a person, by email to privacy@kandevo.ai. There is no button for them yet, and we would rather say that than pretend.
Your data
Our Privacy Policy applies, and for a candidate account we are the controller of your data: you are not acting for any company and no company acts for you.
What we keep against your account is the role you practised, the exercise, when, and the score with its breakdown by dimension. The transcript and the observations are shown to you during the round and are not kept. Purchase records are kept for seven years because accounting law requires it, and survive the deletion of your account.
What you type in a round is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, in the United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, to run the exercise. It is not used to train their models. If you dictate an answer, your own browser does the transcribing and may send the audio to whoever makes the browser; we never receive the audio.
You can download everything we hold about you, and delete your account, from your dashboard. Deleting it deletes your history and any credits you have not used.
What we promise, and what we do not
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it, and we may change or withdraw features. If we withdraw a paid feature you bought credits for, we refund the credits you cannot use.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing limits your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for how you use practice feedback in a real interview or in any decision about your career, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and contact
When these terms change we publish a new version with a new date, and a change that affects what you have paid for is announced on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to buy or use credits after that date means you accept the new version. This is version 1.4, effective 2026-09-19.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere and the law of your country gives you protections that cannot be taken away, you keep them, and you may bring a claim in your own courts.
